Snow-capped volcanoes, corn fields, green mountains, colorful indigenous markets and colonial cities - everything can be found in the highlands of Ecuador. 

For most travelers the international airport of Quito is the starting point of the Ecuador adventure. Quito is centrally located and from here you can discover the city or directly enter the Amazon or travel north. The Andes mountain range forms the backbone of the country and offers the tourist many possibilities. Think of biking and hiking on one of the extraordinary volcanoes, do bird watching in the cloud forest, visit churches in the colonial towns or stroll around the markets in small indigenous villages.
