The Inti Sisa guesthouse is located in the small village, Guamote, in the center of the Ecuadorian Andes. The location, halfway between Cuenca and Quito, makes it an ideal place for a stopover. Not only to rest but also to experience the authentic Andean life.

A visit to the weekly market on Thursday is a must, but also a ride on the famous 'Tren Crucero' is worthwile. Other activities in the region are visiting one of the surrounding communities, eating guinnea pig or climbing the volcano Chimborazo.

 

But Inti Sisa is a lot more, the guesthouse finances all activities of the Inti Sisa foundation. The foundation opened the doors of its educational center in 1999 and has the vision to support the underprivileged in the region, in particular women and girls.
